Kansas Attorney General Letter an Updated LE Protocol For Juvenile Victims of Human Trafficking Effective Nov. 11, 2020 When an officer takes a child into custody they suspect of being a victim of human trafficking, two calls must be made: One to DCF; the Other to the KBI. The KBI now facilitates the Rapid Response Assessment notifications when needed.

NATIONAL TRAINING MATERIAL FOR HUMAN TRAFFICKING
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center has developed a 30 minute online training program for law enforcement field officers. It is available at http://www.fletc.gov/training/programs/human-trafficking-training-program by logging on to your agency's RISS account. The webpage has information on how to access the training. This training focuses on what line officers can watch for in our routine activities and how to launch a criminal human trafficking investigation.
