How to Contact Your Legislator

Send posting suggestions to this link.

How do I find out who my legislator is?
Go to either of the following and enter your address.
          KSLeg Lookup
          Open States
NOTE: This will give you only the elected officials for that address. It will not list all of the     senators and representatives for the county or city the address is in.

To find your legislator by map, use this link:   OpenStates.org
This is a good way to find all legislators for your city or county.

I know who my Representative or Senator is, how do I find their contact information?

Follow this link for a Representative                       Follow this link for a Senator
My Spreadsheet of KS Legislators (Information from the Legislative Website)

Should I phone them or e-mail them?

During the session either will work. When they are not in session many of them do not keep up on their state e-mail. In the above rosters, if you click on the name it will take you to a screen with their home address and home phone information. During the session you should use the office number and e-mail addresses listed in the roster.

How do I mail something to a Senator or Representative?
Simply address the mail to your Senator or Representative by name at 300 SW 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66612
