Who Owns This Site
This site is owned and operated by Ed Klumpp, Chief of Police-Retired, Topeka Police Department. Ed serves as a lobbyist for law enforcement matters representing the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police, the Kansas Sheriff's Association, and the Kansas Peace Officers Association. He also serves as the KCJIS Committee representative and the Kansas Traffic Records Coordinating Committee representative for the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police. He served on the Kansas DUI Commission and co-chaired the Kansas Criminal Code Recodification Commission.
Legislative Information
The Legislative Information section is where you can find information on matters affecting law enforcement being considered in the Kansas Legislature. Up to date status and explanations of bills are posted. There is also a page with summaries of past legislative sessions and links to state resources relating to legislation.
KCJIS - Kansas Criminal Justice Information System
The KCJIS Committee is authorized by statute and is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the various information systems in Kansas criminal justice agencies. The KCJIS Committee generally meets from 1330 to 1530 on the second Tuesday of every month at the Kansas Supreme Court building.
KCJIS has its own website and information sharing system. This section is limited to links and directions to access the official KCJIS information sites. It also contains current events about KCJIS meetings and training. No law enforcement sensitive information or access to such information is available on this website.
TRCC
The TRCC is a committee under the direction of KDOT with the purpose of development and coordination of traffic related information systems. The focus is on motor vehicle crash reports and citation data. It includes other data services that enhance traffic safety on Kansas roads and highways.
Kansas Law Enforcement Calendar
This calendar is intended to provide a single source of law enforcement events. It is dependent upon law enforcement agencies, officers, and organizations across Kansas submitting items to be placed on the calendar.
