Indicators of School Crime and Safety: 2016
A report released in May 2017 by National Center for Educational Statistics
Monetary Sanctions in the Criminal Justice System
A review of law and policy in California, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota,
Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington
CAUTION: I could not find anything in the report to indicate who the researchers were working for, whether they were independent of the organization the report was presented to (which may be biased against monetary sanctions), or who paid for the study. I did note they misspelled California on the title page which makes me wonder about the accuracy ability of the authors. We may assume the data is accurate, but without further knowledge it is difficult to conclude how bias or other factors may have effected the conclusions.
